The Shepherd's Center

The Shepherd’s Center of Kernersville is an interfaith ministry of volunteers which champions and sustains adults who are aging or with disabilities. The Shepherd’s Center of Kernersville empowers individuals and enriches the lives of older or disabled adults in our community. We believe this provides dignity, respect, purpose, and other essentials of life.

Kernersville  Cares for Kids

Kernersville Cares for Kids

KCK is a non-profit organization that encourages students to remain drug-free, and also encourages them to join the It's My Call Program at school - a voluntary drug testing program. The Kernersville Cares for Kids was established in 1998 when three community leaders recognized a need to combat student drug use and under-aged drinking.

Kernersville Family YMCA

The Kernersville Family YMCA serves the entire family through youth development programs, healthy living and social responsibility initiatives, such as the Bright Beginnings program to provide a special back-to-school shopping experience for local students.

The LAMB Foundation of NC is a public 501(c)3 not-for-profit charity dedicated solely to assisting people who have intellectual disabilities within the state of North Carolina. 93% of the funds we raise directly goes to programs that support people with intellectual disabilities.

To develop and promote a positive plan that will strengthen and enhance the downtown area, preserve its heritage, and foster a healthy economic climate.

Since 1993, The Kernersville Downtown Committee has been preserving the historic qualities of downtown Kernersville and preventing the deterioration of the central business district.

Körner’s Folly serves as an excellent example of Victorian innovation and eclectic interior architecture. The landmark home is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, helping to ensure its proper care and authentic restoration.

Next Step Ministries provides refuge, advocacy and education to survivors of domestic violence and the broader community.

Next Step Ministries is a 501c3 non-profit organization with the goal of assisting victims of domestic violence and their children to break the cycle of violence.

The mission of Crisis Control Ministry is to assist people in crisis to meet essential life needs and to become self-sufficient.We believe that food, shelter, and medicine are basic human needs and that we can meet the needs of people in Forsyth and Stokes Counties who are in crisis and dealing with unfortunate circumstances. The Kernersville Museum is dedicated to preserving the history of our unique town. The Museum is seen as a boost to Kernersville’s economy by increasing tourism over time.

Kernersville Cycling Club

The Kernersville Cycling Club was organized to promote the enjoyment of cycling in our local community. We organize fun group rides of various skill levels open to everyone, and support events and activities that encourage cycling.

For more than 45 years, the CareNet counseling network has been providing, educating and advocating for progressive mental health counseling for people of all ages across North Carolina. CareNet is a compassionate, professional, statewide, community-based counseling organization affiliated with Wake Forest Baptist Health.

Salvation Army of Kernersville

Food Pantry - Each month we distribute more than 30,000 pounds of food right here in Kernersville to over 700 families who are experiencing hunger.

Christmas - The Salvation Army, with the help of hundreds of volunteers and donors, provides toys, food and clothing to our neighbors in need and cares for those otherwise forgotten.

 


Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities

Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities

The Winston-Salem Mayor’s Council for Persons with Disabilities is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that advocates improving the quality of life for persons with disabilities and promotes an environment free of architectural barriers.
