April 2024 - The Cycling Club

The Kernersville Cycling Club was organized to promote the enjoyment of cycling in our local community. We organize fun group rides of various skill levels open to everyone, and support events and activities that encourage cycling. 

The mission of the Kernersville Foundation is to provide financial assistance to non-profit organizations that serve the Kernersville community.

Kernersville Foundation Awards $175,000 in Grants for 2023

The Kernersville Foundation fulfilled another cycle of grant funding to Kernersville nonprofits in 2023. In total, $175,000 was distributed to 15 local organizations. Grants were made possible through the generosity of individual donors as well as the State of North Carolina.

2023 grant amounts ranged from $1,750 to $24,500 based on need, use, and availability of funds. Recipients included the following nonprofit organizations, in alphabetical order:

Care Net Counseling Kernersville Museum
Crisis Control Ministries Korner’s Folly Foundation
Friends of the Library Lamb Foundation
Kernersville Cares for Kids Next Step Ministries
Kernersville Christmas Stocking Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens
Kernersville Downtown Council Salvation Army of Kernersville
Kernersville Family YMCA Shepherd’s Center
Kernersville Little Theatre

The Kernersville Foundation has distributed over $1.5 million in grants to local nonprofits since its inception as a 501(c)3 organization in 1999. Information about supporting the Foundation can be found on the Contributions page
